The moment that all the dirty filth came out about Donald Trump, and it did nothing to him, should have been a huge red flag. It didn't matter that it was all true; they just refused to care about it.

The problem is that the media had too much faith in the American people to reject someone so outlandish. Two terms of Obama should have put that notion to rest. The most hated candidate usually wins.

The media forever outed themselves as America's fifth column during this campaign.  That the media's efforts to defeat Trump failed actually increases my faith in the American people.

Her and the bit of human psychology set down in the old folk tale of "The Boy who Cried 'Wolf!'".  If the media hadn't falsely portrayed every GOP candidate for the past 40 years as "racist", "anti-woman", "shill for the super-rich", and all the other stock accusations, there might have been a chance when a candidate who arguably fit those descriptions came along, the hysteria might have been believed by the electorate.
