I'm not sure "debate" is the proper word to use to describe an discussion when one side cares nothing for the truth,only winning. I may be wrong,but I THINK "debate" means a discussion
where two or more people present and promote ideas THEY believe to be true in order to try to convince someone with different ideas that they need to reconsider their viewpoints on that issue.

Liberals don't have to make sense or deal in logic...They base their complaints on emotion and feelings.  Which is why most of their issues don't make sense to you and me.

First off,for the ten millionth time,there is NOTHING even the tiniest bit "liberal" about fascists. Secondly,they are NOT trying to convince their political foes of the error of their ways,so they don't need to use truth or logic. The people they are trying to reach are the goobers in the voting public because a million goober votes on election day is MUCH more powerful than any truth ever told,and the goobers want simple truths that make them feel good about themselves while convincing them they are going to get something for free.

In other words,they are playing to their target audience,not actual intellectuals.

The left gained so much power because they convinced the ignorant fools they were going to give them everything they want or need. They could have never accomplished this if they had continued to identify themselves as "communists" or "progressives",because by the 1940's people were beginning to understand that communism meant "police states". So they started identifying themselves as "Liberals" because liberals are "open-minded and fair intelligent people who want the best for all of us. After all,the Founding Fathers were America's original Liberals",so who wouldn't want to be one or vote for one?"

So what Georgetown University professor writes, reported by a California paper becomes a California oriented news story?

If I was a judge, I would question the credentials of every lawyer that graduated from Georgetown

 that appeared before my court.

Even better, perhaps the American Bar Association should consider removing Georgetown as a qualified school that teaches law.

One cannot graduate people like this and not have any consequences for graduating incompetent stupid people.

The Nazi's only became "right-wingers" once they attacked their former allies in the USSR. And we have plenty of reasons to have our faith shaken severely.  After eight years of Barack The Punisher twisting, distorting and redefining the Constitution to his own personal whim it is easy to make the case the Constitution is a paper tiger.

The majority of the public has already forgotten the pledge of the President to “go it alone” creating a series of separation of powers crisis and lawsuits.  The leader who easily stated "elections have consequences" when questioned about circumventing Congress and replied "so sue me" when suspending standing U.S. laws has illustrated vividly how thin a line our nation walks.

I find it ironic that pocket Constitution liberals love to wave their borrowed copy of the document at a microphone when it suits them, but the same people believe U.S. laws are for them to break and suckers to follow.

Then you fail to learn from History.  Whatever gloss the Germans put on fascism, the core ideas were developed by the Italians, and others, and Hitler adopted these ideas; he did not invent them out of whole cloth.
