Georgia Plans to Ban Hijabs and Niqabs
« on: November 18, 2016, 11:28:49 am »
by Dean Daniels/                             November 17, 2016

Following Donald Trump winning the 2016, the state of Georgia is planning to pass a law that will ban Muslim women from wearing hijabs and niqabs in public. The ban will fall under the anti-masking law designed in 1951, which was utilized to prevent Ku Klux Klan members from committing anonymous crimes while wearing hoods.
The new component to include niqab and hijab headwear is being proposed by Republican Rep. Jason Spencer, titled House Bill 3. Wearing any type of hood or veil similar to the Muslim cultured headdress in public will be considered a misdemeanor, according to a report by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The new law would also ban Muslim women from wearing their veils in official government ID photos.
The current law in Georgia can be read below:
A person is guilty of a misdemeanor when he wears a mask, hood, or device by which any portion of the face is so hidden, concealed or covered as the conceal the identity of the wearer and is upon any public way or public property or upon the private property of another without the written permission of the owner or occupier of the property to do so.
Spencer would like to further add “or she” into the official description of the law. The following line would also be inserted into the law: “For the purposes of this subsection, the phrase ‘upon any public way or property’ includes but is not limited to operating a motor vehicle upon any public street, road, or highway.”

UPDATE: Spencer pulled the proposed law. The Muzzies complained and Spencer caved. The proposal for the law only lasted a few hours until the Muslims managed to get it squashed.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

There's an interesting issue here - to what extent does religious liberty protect those who want to live rejectionist, culturally conservative lives?   Many of us sympathize with the plight of the Christian baker who refused to prepare a wedding cake for a gay customer,  but what of Muslims who eschew modernity?

Sometimes, they even have netting over the eyes. That is rather extreme. We will see. It seemed to me a law like this would probably be struck down per religious liberty; but should we suffer a bad terrorist attack, introducing laws like this may well return.

Why do those who do not assimilate to the USA and accept our values want to come here? Hijera, jihad, and to establish the worldwide caliphate is the likely explanation.
Principles matter. Words matter.

Rep. Jason Spencer is a total idiot.

Imagine: on Halloween night, each little trick or treater will be breaking the law unless they can first gain written permission from the owners of each house they visit.

Bigotry, thy representative is amongst us.

Guilty of a misdemeanor:

... though an arrest for mugging might be warranted.

Jazzhead asks:

My answer:
The muslims who want to live like this don't belong in dar al-harb, they belong in dar al-islam.

I don't care what names you might call me.
They are terms that only liberals or leftists would use.
That's what I believe.

Well, the article alludes to a prior law that was aimed at the Ku Klux Klan, I guess the Halloween argument can be made in that case as well. It mentions it in the article.
