Priebus declares RNC standing behind Trump

In an emergency call with members of the Republican National Committee, Chairman Reince Priebus declared that the party remained firmly behind Donald Trump, despite the tape of his lewd remarks about groping and making advances on married women.

“Over the last 24 to 48 hours there have been a lot of false rumors that we didn’t want to engage in,” Priebus told the 168 members of the RNC, many of whom have also stood behind Trump, according to a person on the call. “Nothing has changed in terms of our support for the nominee.”

Priebus told them that Trump had issued a “heartfelt” apology and that “I think the issue was taken care of at the debate.” Three people on the call verified Priebus’ remarks.

I'm not, and neither are a lot of other republicans I know.  Face it Priebus, you had your chance to salvage this election at the convention, and you blew it, and you had one last chance offered you this weekend, and you blew it.  The presidential election is over:  Clinton won, thanks to the idiotic bleep who gave us Trump and the spineless party leaders who refused to do the right thing and cut the albatross loose.

That's the problem with fence-straddling, Priebus, eventually you slip and get kicked in the balls.  Better start practicing your falsetto.

If the party is standing behind Trump, then why did Ryan give all House members the freedom to distance themselves from, and disavow, Trump, and why did Ryan say he would not campaign with Trump.
