Trump says he insulted women 'for the purpose of entertainment'

By Harper Neidig

Donald Trump says many of his comments disparaging women were made “for the purpose of entertainment.”

Trump was asked in a Wednesday interview with News 3 Las Vegas if he could understand why parents of young girls are concerned about his history of making crude comments toward women.

"A lot of that was done for the purpose of entertainment, there's nobody that has more respect for women than I do," the real estate mogul responded.

"Are you trying to tone it down now?" Jim Snyder, the News 3 interviewer, asked.

"It's not a question of trying, it's very easy," Trump said.

Democrats have locked on Trump’s behavior toward women in recent weeks.

During the first presidential debate, Hillary Clinton attacked Trump for his comments about a former Miss Universe, whom the businessman had attacked for gaining weight in 1996.

The issue stayed in the headlines for days as Trump renewed his criticisms of the woman’s weight gain from two decades ago

I'd like to think that someone running for POTUS would have chosen a different form of "entertainment", throughout their adult lifetime.

Sounds like Trump is working on giving Hillary Clinton more material to use against him in the debate

I'm beginning to agree with those who believe that he is a stalking horse for Hillary Clinton .  No serious candidate would be sabotaging his campaign this close to an election

And no serious candidate....that brags about how rich they are and about self-funding.... would refuse to put serious money into attack ads against their opponent.  I have yet to see a Trump anti-Hillary ad in Texas.  He assumes that he has Texas in the bag.  But is he running ads non-stop in other states?  Not that I'm aware of.

And if they *did* choose this form of entertainment, I'd like to think that someone running for POTUS would be intelligent enough not to say so out loud.

Now give the Trumpanistas a little credit, okay? Room temperature, at least.

I don't watch much TV, I must admit, BUT I do see some Hillary Ads on the Locals, so she's not convinced Texas is in the BAG.  In my County (very Conservative) I see as many Hillary yard signs as Trump, I just assumed Trump was to cheap to have them made up and given out.

Too cheap (with other people's money....ie donations)....or too invested in losing?  He's not even passing along those donation dollars to other Republicans down ballot, from what I've read.  He is damaging the GOP's chances of winning seats this election by not releasing those funds.  And I posit (again) that he is doing so quite deliberately.  Nobody could be 'that' stupid.  Certainly not the ""brilliant"" Donald J. Trump (extreme sarc).

Trump's followers for the most part are enthralled by the fact that his current wife was photographed in risque poses.

We all come to understand the truth of it eventually. Hopefully enough do before they flush their remaining integrity by voting for him.

McCain sabotaged his own campaign, Romney his, now Trump. Yet some still believe the GOP isn't playing their kabuki role as the Dem's opponent. The facts are there for all to see.

She's hot. But she isn't nearly hot enough to wreck America over. Which shows you how small the Trump fanatic brain is...and where it's located. Thus it's doubly diminutive size.

Sometimes I think he's running for President "for the purpose of entertainment".

In part he is. Literally. Bread and Circuses. He's playing the role of the loser to maintain the uniparty illusion that there is a choice.

Problem is that he went after Megyn Kelly like a bitter ex-prom date, who did nothing other than report the facts on the guy.

I have no doubt this latest statement is going to be not only brought up at the debate by Hillary  Clinton but used in ads.

His supporters can sit back and blame everybody else if and when he loses but they only have the candidate to blame

Instead of weekly "fireside chats", President Trump will be giving us "Saturday night twitter wars."
