    UNITED NATIONS

Efforts to stop immigration and the mix of cultures are bound to fail, Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto told a United Nations summit on migrants and refugees on Monday, as his country's northern border has become an issue in the U.S. presidential election campaign.

Pena Nieto took a public opinion shellacking for hosting Republican Party candidate Donald Trump on Aug. 31 because Trump has repeatedly vowed to build a border wall to keep out illegal immigrants and said Mexico would pay for it.

"History shows that there are no barriers that can stop either the movement of people or the fusion of cultures," Pena Nieto said in his address to the summit ahead of the U.N. General Assembly.

Of course they can't stop it.  But they sure as hell can slow it down, which is all most of us are asking.

What a two faced POS,  Americans wanting a wall on U.S. southern border to keep illegals out is bad bad bad, but Mexico wanting a wall on its southern border to keep central Americans out is a good idea. Funny, that Mexican logic, but then we all know how much the Mexican economy depends on remittances from their citizens in the U.S. *mad*

I wonder how many US politicians have been bribed by the cartel to keep the wall from being built.

LOL, actually history shows the exact opposite. Walls do an excellent job of keeping the uninvited out.  They do need to be manned and maintained but they work.

So just why is Mejico building a fence on their southern border to keep people from entering through Central America?  They apparently feel they can stop "immigration" that way.  They sure aren't building it so young gangsters can have something to spray paint on. :thud:

Mejico is building a wall to keep out Central Americans because they don't want to share the American taxpayer piggy bank with those they consider beneath them.
