Trump's trip to Mexico
« on: August 31, 2016, 08:37:38 pm »
Who here is wondering if Trump's sudden trip to Mexico, right before a major speech on his immigration policies, will result in him talking 'down' the wall when he returns.

Why did he have to go meet with Nieto before his speech?  How will the content of Trump's speech change or be altered after this trip and meeting with Nieto?

I have to admit....it has me wondering.  Any bets that 'da wall' will suddenly become unnecessary ....or at the very least....a back-burner issue?

‘Political stunt’: Ex-Mexican President Vicente Fox rips Donald Trump’s trip to Mexico
Colin Campbell 6 hours ago .

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox didn’t hold back on Wednesday when asked on CNN about Donald Trump’s surprise visit to Mexico later in the day.

“He is not welcome to Mexico. By 130 million people, we don’t like him. We don’t want him. We reject his message,” Fox said on “New Day.”

He added that Trump’s trip is “nothing more than a political stunt” and that the GOP is using Mexico … to boost his sinking poll numbers

Trump suddenly announced the Mexico trip Tuesday night, and the visit will occur just hours before the mogul gives a major address on immigration policy in Phoenix.

Both Trump and Hillary were invited by the Mexican Prez to come for discussions..Trump was the first to go

I watched the presser...he looked very presidential and respectful....let's see what he says in his speech tonight.

My more cynical side says secret the meeting went like this:

Trump:  You know I'm not really running for president.  It's a big scam.
Nieto:   Sí
Trump:  I'm here to offer you a deal from the incoming Clinton administration to expand NAFTA and help polish your reputation with the Mexican people.
Nieto:   ¡Muy Bueno!
Trump:  OK, now we have to face the press.  Do you have the Clinton approved notes she email to you?
Nieto:   ¡Aquí, Amigo!

Politico Update on Trump's trip....

Well....the good news is....

It's looking more hopeful that 'da wall' is still on the front burner!

Standing beside Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday insisted on America's right to build a wall along its border with Mexico but said the two men did not discuss who would pay for it.

"We recognize and respect the right of either country to build a physical barrier or wall," Trump said in a statement that followed a closed-door meeting with Peña Nieto in Mexico City. He also said, “I love the United States very much and we want to make sure the people of the United States are very well protected."

I watched the brief after meeting news conference.

Trump read from a prepared statement, sounded sane and reasonable.  Said they discussed the wall but did not discuss who would pay for it (said that would be for later).

Now if he will stay off Twitter until the election.

Well I'm sure the open borders globalist idiots have said it.  They're not shy about saying stupid stuff like that.
