In a series of tweets posted Tuesday evening, billionaire Mark Cuban suggested Donald Trump hasn’t released his tax returns because Hillary Clinton actually makes more money than he does.

In fact, the Dallas Mavericks owner wondered if the Clintons paid more in taxes than the Republican presidential nominee has made in income. According to her tax returns, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, paid nearly $44 million in federal taxes on $141.9 million in income earned between 2007 and 2014.

Quote
1) Lots of people concerned how much money the Clinton's have made. More interesting to me they have paid 43mm IN TAXES since 2007

— Mark Cuban (@mcuban) July 26, 2016

Quote
2) I'd bet the 43mm in TAXES the Clinton's paid is not only more taxes than @realDonaldTrump has paid. I'd bet they made more too

— Mark Cuban (@mcuban) July 26, 2016

Quote
5) maybe @realDonaldTrump didn't release his taxes become @HillaryClinton paid more in taxes than @realDonaldTrump made in income ?

— Mark Cuban (@mcuban) July 26, 2016

Cuban also hit Trump on his frequent claim that the U.S. doesn’t make good deals and needs a better deal maker. He asserted the Clintons are “much smarter business people and negotiators” than Trump.

Quote
3) it's not a tough argument looking at their taxes and fec filings that the Clinton's are much smarter business people and negotiators

— Mark Cuban (@mcuban) July 26, 2016

Trump has been criticized by many Democrats and several fellow Republicans — including 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney — for not releasing his tax returns.

The Republican candidate has argued he cannot release his returns because he is currently being audited by the IRS. But the agency has said the release of his tax returns would not interfere with the work it is doing.

This is not the first time Cuban has questioned the validity of Trump’s claim that he is a billionaire.

If [Donald Trump] were fractionally as rich as he says he is, he would write a $200 [million] check to propel his campaign,” he tweeted last month. “He doesn’t have the cash.”

Mark Cuban is betting Donald Trump will lose the presidential election, but end up with his net worth increased tenfold.
In a series of tweets Thursday, Cuban said there's a more than 50%a chance that the presidential race will end in Trump's "dream scenario" -- winning the popular vote, but losing in the Electoral College.

"All the glory. None of the work," Cuban tweeted.

A Trump loss to Hillary Clinton would "increase his networth 10x," the billionaire Dallas Mavericks owner said.
In follow-up emails to CNNMoney, Cuban wrote that after the loss, "It's truly the gains he could see. He would immediately turn into a good guy since he would no longer be a threat to the safety of the free world.

Mark Cuban wishes he could be Donald Trump. He's an egomaniac who isn't entertaining.

I can't decide which he knows less about. Basketball or politics?

I don't think he has the cash either.

The vast majority of his wealth is property and much of that he only partially owns. He owns a lot of small companies kept separate because they aren't meant to make profits, just to package or repackage generic things with a Trump logo on them. (Trump Ice).

How much actual liquid cash he has right now? It's probably bouncing around a bit since he has been using the plane a lot more than usual. I wonder if the Trump Princess has been put out for chartering yet?

Trump is a showman. If he were poorer he'd be one of those people buying too much house and an expensive car he can't afford just to look better off than he is.

They are a lot alike actually. Cuban is not nearly into the self-promotion that Trump is.

I think Cuban's actually worse.  He's a cut throat, cut 'em off at the knees SOB.

Cuban's obviously smarter than Trump.  He has more money, has never declared bankruptcy, and doesn't act as if he knows everything.

Trump's an idiot who killed a professional football league.  I'd say Cuban knows plenty about politics and basketball.

but ... but ... but ... you mean Trump could actually be doing all of this to increase his wealth??  Can't be.  He's doing all of this out of love for country and because he's such a patriot. :silly: :silly:

That would be a good reason for Trump TO release his tax returns.

What better way to highlight the reason the Clintons are in politics in the first place?

"Crooked Hillary" is childish. It should be "Pay to Play Hillary".

Where Rush goes off the rails and into the swamp is in his reasoning. Even though it is true that Trump doesn't use email... in fact, we really don't even know if he can write... there is a great deal of evidence that the Russians own Trump in a way they could never hope to own Hillary Clinton. Since his wave of serial bankruptcies beginning in the 1980s, he has been kept afloat by cash from Russian investors. These investors can't be making those investments without the knowledge of Putin and this gives them leverage over Trump in a very real sense. If they pull his financing, virtually overnight he becomes a homeless wino yelling at tourists in Times Square. From a motivation point of view, wouldn't Putin rather have an ideological ally in the White House... that would be Trump who loathes NATO and American power as much as Putin... than someone he had to blackmail for cooperation?

Then again, it could be because there is a recent sizeable donation to The Clinton Foundation in there somewhere.  Might prove inconvenient for Trump should that get out 'before' the November election.

IMHO it's not because he's in debt to Russian investors or that Hillary has more money than he does.

It's much simpler than that.

Releasing 10 years of tax returns would reveal just how much and how recently he was donating to the DNC... Liberal candidates as well as Bill and Hillary.

It would be very embarrassing for this to come to light since Donny is supposed to be representing the GOP.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if the iRS announced that their (so called) audit is over, and Mr. TRump can proceed to provide his returns.

Well his team actually is a contender for the title in the NBA and has ACTUALLY WON the championship.

"Contender" is not defined as five consecutive years of losing in the first round of the playoffs.

He caught lightning with Dirk, who was drafted by Don Nelson Sr.

Cuban will be riding that one lone championship for the next 20 years, just as Jerry Jones has lived on the teams that Jimmy built for over 20 years. Mavericks are mired in mediocrity, and are unable to bring in the superstar free agents. Trouble is, Cuban disdains the draft.

I'm thankful the Stars and Rangers are well run franchises.

I'm very lucky to be a Gonzaga grad, and boy, are we loaded this year!

Cuban supported Trump before he was against him. Did you conveniently forget that he even let him use the AAC in Dallas to host one of his rallies? Feel free to speculate about which billionaire is worth more, but I'm going with Forbes' data that says Trump is worth more (not that I really care tbh). This is all about self-promtion for Mark Cuban, anyway.

The Mavericks have a championship ring because of Dirk Nowitzki, and should have competed for more than one, but they have Cuban to thank for that. He's actually become quite the laughing stock in the NBA because no one wants to play for Dallas, even though he always compensates his players well.

He's an egomaniac who isn't entertaining.

So is Trump, yet you don't hold it against him.

I can't decide which he knows less about. Basketball or politics?

But I'm sure Cuban has a firmer grasp of world events than Trump does.  And just about every other topic as well.
