High-ranking Democratic National Committee staff debated whether to bar a Bernie Sanders supporter from attending a fundraiser because she had written tweets "throwing shade" on party chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Tennessee activist Amanda Kruel had sent "multiple tweets throwing shade on DWS," Alan Reed, compliance director for the DNC, noted in a May 19, 2016 email released through the massive WikiLeaks disclosure. Reed added that Kruel was a "staunch Bernie supporter and campaign staffer" who had been elected a delegate in Tennessee's party meetings.

This puts to bed the myth that the worse has already been thrown at Trump and there's nothing left. I've heard it at FR, here, and even Limbaugh and Hannity have stated Trump has already been fully vetted.

The DNC will probably run the worst regarding Trump in the fall when more people traditionally pay more attention to the election. It's a good strategy on the part of the DNC. They have accepted the fact that Hillary is seen as untrustworthy and dishonest and represents everything people hate about Washington, DC. She cannot sell herself as a change agent. So the tactic will be to use all of Trump's own words against him thereby portraying him as unfit for office. It appears that Trump is obliging them in that regard.

I went through some of the e-mails on wikileaks last night.
It is obvious that they were prepared to hit both Trump and Cruz when the time was right.
They looked at the JFK thing as a gift, and encouraged that the narrative keeps getting put out there.
It has, by the evidence of this weekend.
We just have to be smart enough not to play along so readily.
Unfortunately, Trump lacks that discipline (thus far).

I haven't completely, except for his vicious and personal, well timed serial attacks on Cruz, who is the candidate I think the Dems were as scared of as the GOPe. If any one of the candidates would be most likely to upset the DC apple cart, Cruz was it.
I think Donny's bit in all this was to defame Cruz and take him out of the race. I do not think it was to become the nominee, all bluster aside. There appears to be no long game plan, no war chest, nothing in place for after the primary fight, and Trump is still fighting it instead of launching the campaign against Clinton the day after getting the nomination.
I think that another candidate (maybe Jebbie, but someone other than Cruz) was supposed to get the nomination, which would have suited the GOPe and the DNC just fine. Cruz had proven that he would stand up for principle and the others were all considered more malleable.

Excellent analysis, but it is time to quit eating the dung they serve up and empower another party. We are going to get no relief from the Democrat Party, and the Republican Party since Reagan has just been a constant consolidation of power for fun and profit, ti the detriment of the Republic and Conservatives who have backed it.  The only way we will have a political voice is to find a party we can back and build it. Make the GOP GO the way of the Whigs. It won't happen overnight, but could be done in 20 years.
