Yeah,  let's do that again - run a dozen or more candidates who split the vote so a plurality supporting a fascist a-hole can steal the nomination.

No, my point is that the future candidates are going to soon be looking at 2020.  Sooner or later a new generation is going to take the lead.  Kasich is not in that generation, and now that he may be about to deliver Ohio to Hillary, he shouldn't be thinking about any future run.
It's the Supreme Court nominations!
