Micah Xavier Johnson, the 25-year-old man suspected of killing five police officers in Dallas, adhered to radical “Black Power” ideology, his Facebook page shows.
Johnson began shooting Dallas police officers Thursday night during a protest against the recent police-involved shootings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota.
Police cornered Johnson in a parking garage and attempted to negotiate with him. During the standoff Johnson claimed to be acting alone. But three other suspects — two men and one woman — have also been detained.
