@mountaineer

So sorry about your cousin-in-law.  Terrible thing.

Your brother -- well, this might be a blessing in disguise.  I'd like to think that he  will at least stop drinking for good.

Anyway, prayers up for both of them.

Anyway, speaking of prayers, has anyone seen sneakypete?  He hasn't been around to call me a traitor lately and that worries me, given his health issues.

Thanks, @Applewood   I also believe some time in jail is the best thing for him. Pretty sure they don't sell beer in there! Perhaps after he attains a measure of sobriety, he can ponder the direction of his life.

Well, brother will be sentenced tomorrow. He's been in jail since 8/14.
Meanwhile, my cousin's in-laws perished in a house fire last night. Life is short. Don't waste it.

Sorry for your loss. Prayers.

Hey Folks, prayers up for @Gefn. She has not gone out of her way to ask for them, but she really needs them now.

Sorry, but I guess I'm not in the loop.  What is happening with @Gefn ?

Whatever it is, the dear lady is already in my prayers.

Just been really sick from the heat and staying with my mom because she has air conditioning. Surgery next week. Moved up from October. It’s ok. I’ll be ok.

More nervous about my move but I have to move. My apartment is toxic, you know?

I didn't, but I hope your new digs are better for your health. In these parts, the time for air conditioning is nearly over (more worried about stocking the woodpile for winter, just around the corner). But for next year, I'm glad you'll have it. Heat can be nasty. I hope your surgery goes well. Keeping you in my prayers.

@Gefn  I'm hopeful your surgery will make you feel much better in the long run. Glad you found a new place to live.

As I said, prayers continue for you.  I pray your surgery goes well and you will feel better.

And I pray your new home will be much better. I understand getting sick from the heat.  Western PA is enjoying a respite - cool nights, mild (not hot) days.  Raining today, but I can live with that.  Turned off the air conditioner and am enjoying getting fresh air in my home for a change.

I will pray God will send this respite to you too.   :0001:

We can all pray for Larry , his family and what they are going through.

His older brother passed away in his sleep. It was sudden apparently.  Larry will be gone from the show some.

Prayers also to everyone here in this forum.

Every Friday, Larry's brother, Kirk would join him in the 3rd hour, they would play a trivia call-in game

I have to add on, some information here, just seems kind of private. I often pray for people and don't say anything, it must be difficult to go through these things. I am sorry.

Please add a couple of people. A friend of mine's father, Scott Sr. Hospitalized, suffering from dementia.
A former students father Tim, recently diagnosed with Brain cancer. told me yesterday they have given him a year to 18 months. It was in remission, but is coming back.

Thank you
