Amtrak is slower than Greyhound.

Tonight the Texas Eagle is more than 4 hours behind schedule.

Are you waiting, geronl?

My Brother In Law is picking up his father.... the original schedule arrival time was 7:12pm. I think it might have been about 4 and a half hours late.

That's cool.  I have taken Amtrak all of 2 or 3 times.  One time I got on the train in a small town.  It was headed for Chicago.  We went about 1 mile up the tracks before the train stopped, then started to go very slowly backwards until it ended up back at the starting point.  Then we were all asked to get off the train.  About an hour later buses came and took us to Chicago.  LOL!  I actually made my connecting train.

Amtrak is another thing I would abolish subsidies for, which is pretty much everything.

Tonight the Texas Eagle is more than 4 hours behind schedule.

I took the Texas Eagle in October 2014 from Austin to Bloomington-Normal Illinois. As I recall we were an hour late getting to St. Louis, and maybe a little over an hour late getting in to Bloomington-Normal. The trip back went more smoothly though, I think we were only 20 minutes or so late getting into Austin.

Nearly 5 hours late is just awful...
