'Fraid not Mech.  Trump talked long and loud about how high those ratings were going to be for his "rally."  If he were interested in funding charity he would have used all of his megawatt star power right then and there to do it with a network requirement to kick in.  But he didn't need an excuse to cancel since there was no chance of having to answer questions.

Pretty embarrassing for the alpha male bully to have his bluff called by a senile socialist.  But that's what happened.

Fraid yes. He charged the networks for a Debate, no such consideration was for the charity rally where the money came from donors. One was the Networks were to pay. The other was where third party donors were to pay. Apples and Oranges.

One of the most energetic pro-Trump posters on this forum argues that Trump can command donors, who would otherwise not donate to the RNC, to give to him instead, such that Trump is raising funds in the general election primarily for the down-ticket.  It seems that everyone will want to "buy a ticket" on the "Trump Train" because if they don't get some "skin in the game" to collect a few crumbs then they might go bankrupt during a Trump administration; of course Trump himself is actually making all the rules so those donations don't corrupt him the way Cruz and all the other nasty liars were corrupted by donations.

But this article says the money is actually flowing the other way?  How can that be? Oh I know, it's just the usual failed neverTrump lies.

Thanks GrouchoTex.  I wonder how it is that those donors aren't already bankrupt.  They won't give to the RNC so clearly they haven't had a seat at the table, but they must have a seat at the table to avoid going bankrupt and that's why they'll come around hat-in-hand to give money to Trump.  I guess they've been buying their seat at the table from Democrats.  But come to think of it, that's what Trump did too.
