"Give the money to charity" is just his dodge.  He didn't require any network to make a donation to charity before televising his "Veteran's Rally" in Iowa.

Sizable donations are not proof of meeting the amount stated

"Give the money to charity" is just his dodge.  He didn't require any network to make a donation to charity before televising his "Veteran's Rally" in Iowa.

If the holdup was that nobody would pledge the $10M, he would have said that.  He didn't.

He wisely reconsidered and dropped the idea.  Not a great look, but better than the look he'd have gotten if he'd gone through with it.

'Fraid not Mech.  Trump talked long and loud about how high those ratings were going to be for his "rally."  If he were interested in funding charity he would have used all of his megawatt star power right then and there to do it with a network requirement to kick in.  But he didn't need an excuse to cancel since there was no chance of having to answer questions.

Pretty embarrassing for the alpha male bully to have his bluff called by a senile socialist.  But that's what happened.

Nah, he didn't.  He made a very vague reference to women's charities, and that was it.  And if it was a money issue, why not give it a few more days to see if someone ponies up?  Also, if it was just a matter of money, why mention all that stuff about Bernie not being the nominee, and that he should only debate Hillary?

The whole thing makes him look like a fool, frankly. When he's not kicking around some enemy like Cruz or Pocahontas all he can seem to do is implode it seems.

This will hurt him IMO.
