The Bush Klan is from the Northeast,and began their climb to wealth with Preston Bush Sr marrying into a relative of the Harriman family (I THINK maybe a daughter,but maybe not) and getting a job with them during WW-2 as an account executive. He was arrested before the war ended after being convicted of laundering money for the Nazi's. His punishment was to be elected as a US Senator from Ct in 1954. From that point on,the family made all their money from selling political favors.
The field was too crowded with "Old Money pols" in the northeast for the next generation to hope to be elected,so they moved to Texas and pretended to be Republicans. They used family money and connections to get elected there,and it's been that way ever since.
Babs was the brains of the organization,and is probably behind JEB marrying the Mexican. Living in Texas,they could see the brown future all around them. They HAD to think they had a solid lock on the WH with JEB because of the "little brown children",but pretty much blew it with the arrests of all 3 of the children,followed by the arrest of the mother for smuggling jewelry and furs past Customs when she came back to America from France,where she had been visiting exiled Mexican politicians that ran there with billions of dollars of Mexican State Bank currency right ahead of arrest,and claimed immunity from prosecution status from the French government.
That killed JEB's political future.
Then Jeb boy number 1 was arrested for stalking a girlfriend,breaking into her apartment,etc,etc,etc at about the same time they bought him a law degree from a Texan University,putting his career on hold. He had to appear to work a couple of years as an actual lawyer to clean up his image before they could even manage to buy him a state politician heading up something to do with land. Maybe "Land Commissioner"? This is traditionally a job that leads to running for Governor,but so far he doesn't seem to have accomplished diddly squat.
The daughter is a junkie that "served time" in a Fla rehab facility after being arrested for possession of drugs as well as stealing prescription pads.
The youngest son was convicted of statutory rape after being caught humping a underage girl in the back seat of his jeep in a shopping center parking lot. Which,truth to tell IS accurate,but the facts are he was 18 and the girl was only a year or two younger. It's not like he was 25 and she was 12. Still,his father was the governor,so it made the news.

You also can't blame him for thinking a beautiful woman wearing very little clothing would come knocking on his hotel room door late at night in the cell phone era,and ask him if she could use his room phone.
