Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Change the date to 20 20 and it is still good.

Looks like a tempting platform from the rats.  It won the House of Representatives.  On the other hand infrastructure is really sexy.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

The only way you could get a 16yr to vote is if Mom and Dad threatened to take away his Fortnite privileges and withhold his allowance. Even then he would just go in, pick a few things at random, then come out and yell at his parents, 'OK! I did it. Now leave me alone!'

I'm sure a 16yr would be very concerned that the city was considering an article to require all Uber drivers to register with the city transportation department. How could he sleep at night until that gets resolved. LOL!
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

I realize that I and some of my friends were the exception, but we were interested in politics as far back as I can remember. And I was pretty much a conservative for s long. The only Democrat I can remember supporting was Hubert Humphrey.

HHH was about the last of the Democrats not heavily tainted by The New Left (Communists). He's where I'd draw the line. He might have been a liberal, but at least you knew he loved America. Not so much with them since.

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
