Hillary unhinged! 'Vicious' Cruz ad hits media nerve
MSNBC wails: 'That was a little uncomfortable to watch'
Published: 9 hours ago

Ted Cruz’s first campaign ad against Hillary Clinton appears to be a resounding success – MSNBC’s pundits called it “vicious.”

The 1999 comedy “Office Space” is a cult-classic featuring a scene where the character Peter Gibbons destroys his company’s printer after quitting his job. Cruz’s parody, set to an altered version of the song, “D-mn It Feels Good to be a Gangsta,” casts a Hillary Clinton stand-in who destroys the personal email server she used as secretary of state.

The ‘Stop Hillary’ campaign is on fire! Join the surging response to this theme: ‘Clinton for prosecution, not president’

“D-mn it feels good to be a Clinton,” the narrator sings. “A shameless politician always plays her cards right. Got a crew for the fight on the airwaves. Lapdogs in the press keep their mouths tight. ‘Cause a Clinton never needs to explain what, why it is what they done, or with who. A real Clinton knows that they’re entitled, and you don’t get to know what they do. … D-mn it feels good to be a Clinton – a server full of secrets ain’t no thing. D-mn it feels good to be a Clinton – nothing ever hits with a sting.”

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd ironically lent credence to the media “lapdogs” charge after the commercial aired.

“That was a little rough. That was a little uncomfortable to watch,” said Todd, media watchdog Newsbusters reported. “That looked vicious.”

YouTube viewers, including those who don't even like Cruz, gave his campaign kudos for creativity.

"Yep, I can't stand his weasel eyes, or his punchable face, but he makes a funny commercial," wrote Kevin Williams.

"Sorry, but even if you hate Ted Cruz, you know this is awesome," added another viewer.

"I despise all politicians, and yet I'm in awe of this ad," said a third person.

Approximately 100 FBI special agents are current assigned to an investigation that will determine if the former secretary of state violated a subsection of the Espionage Act related to “gross negligence” in handling government documents. That investigation also has a second track, which is to determine whether co-mingling of the Clinton Foundation and State Department business violated public corruption laws.

On Thursday, the Washington Post also revealed that State Department investigators subpoenaed the Clinton Foundation last fall. Records related to long-time aide Huma Abedin’s work while she was simultaneously employed by the Clinton’s personal office, a private consulting firm linked to the Clintons, and the State Department were also requested, WND reported.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Clinton faced off against one another Thursday night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but the former secretary of state was not asked about the State Department’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation by PBS moderators Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff.

Woodruff is a donor to the Clinton Foundation, Breitbart News reported Thursday.
