Nice.

We were children once, playing with toys
And the thing that you're hearing is only the sound of
The low spark of high-heeled boys

Believe it or not,but I started this thread without even clicking on the start button for the album. Once I start listening to Steve Winwood,the rest of the day is pretty much shot because I can't do anything else.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Went looking for more songs by John Fullbright on You Tube,and look at what I found. I had never heard of Mike Farris before,either.

Fullbright doesn't sing in this one,but he sure does put out some tasty flattop. Truth it,his playing sounds an awful lot like Willie Nelson,and that definitely ain't a bad thing.

    @sneakypete Use 'Insert Hyperlink'  (URL)  usually with a you tube  video I remove the 's' from the https because someone recommended it.

Thanks! I could have sworn I tried that a couple of times,but I guess I didn't.

BTW,what did you think of Mike Farris,and am I the only one that thinks John Fullbright looks to be about 15 years old. Just doesn't sound right to hear bluesey lyrics come out of a head that looks so young and innocent.

Plays Mike Farris and similar songs all the time? I had never even heard rumors about him,and "Need a little mercy now" is as perfect as a song gets,lyric-wise,musically,or vocally. I rate it right up there with Van Morrison and "Crazy Love",and for me,that's saying something.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWfokv68fpU

I used to fantasize about one day meeting Ann Margaret back in the late 60's,early 70's,and somehow conning her into believing I wrote it for her and that it was me singing it instead of Van Morrison. I fully expected to be crippled for life as a result,but I was ok with that.

I am in serious need of your radio station. I have it bookmarked,but I need it in my truck. That is about the only time I listen to music anymore.

  @Cripplecreek  That Dave Hole guy sounds so much like Stevie Ray Vaughn,  it's ghosty.

   If you never cared for Prince (or whatever he called himself) and like Fiddles (like me), Dwight Yoakum (new album) does a great cover of Purple Rain.

@corbe

Been a big fan of Roberty Cray ever since his first album. I have never understood why he didn't become a major star.
