No we won't have that debate.  We do not discriminate on the basis of religion in this country.

Okay.  Then we're good for staying on topic?   ^-^

6:32 p.m.: NBC goes further and states that a second suspect could be Farook’s brother:

I am listening to Cnn.....they are really covering it, saying because they ran away it wasn't a suicide mission. not isis.

That they didn't commit suicide is not determinative.  It sounds like a local cell was activated; they would most likely be Americans who were recruited, with possibly a foreign handler/manager, and those people - the American recruits - would probably not be able to carry out the final act, the suicide, because not as fully vested as a foreign cadre would be.  I've heard of this happening here and there overseas.

Minor leaguers are still professionals.  This is not a major terrorist attack. It was targeted at a small group of people for, likely a very specific reason.

It may be a terrorist attack.  We just don't know yet until we know if Farooq Saeed had threatened to get back at his employers or had been fired or something else.

I clearly understand your point, sink.
Horrific? Certainly.
Terrorism? Almost certainly.
Jihad sympathizers? Likely.
A formal cell of ISIS or similar? Maybe not.
There are some among us who live in rooms of experience we can never enter.

Exactly.  This is not random terror, which is ISIS' specialty.  Somebody was pissed and had accomplices (and why these other two would go down for this other clown is a mystery).

And they just happened to have body armor and etc?  How convenient.

....and as the person she was talking to not 20 minutes ago pointed out, that was the only part of the building that wasn't secured with controlled access.
Cnn  upset with that as well. why target that area.   Duh!

. It doesn't rule out Islamic terrorism.

So now that's back into play?  Have your read your posts in this thread, when you were adamant it was "workplace violence," and lashed out at those who offered alternate reasons for these shootings?

The Paris shooters didn't commit suicide.  Why is the far left so intent on importing terrorists into the USA?  Why does the media excuse Islamic terrorism?   Do they really think that Obama doesn't want Islam to have a stronger foothold in the USA?  Are they all mentally ill, or masochistic, or just so blinded by loyalty to liberalism they can't see what is right in front of their face?

Terrorists are independent contractors essentially. Some are more proficient than others.

This got me thinking. What are qualifications to be a terrorist? I mean, is there a screening process? Do you get an interview? Does senior management take you to lunch, check you out?

You know when the ad reads "...experience with self detonation required," they're not getting the cream of the crop.

Am I allowed to say Muslims are cheering? You won't get any speculation from me on the number of celebrants, though.

Of course you are, because they are.  Let's just be careful about saying they're in Jersey City.

Except the pipe bombs didn't go off.

These people had a connection to the group that was meeting.  This was not an act of international terrorism, which would have involved a much higher body count and the entire building would have been shot up.

The motivation here seemed to be somebody pissed off at a person or persons or a group. Yes, it was planned, but it was targeted. Not random.

So they didn't get the bombs built correctly.  That doesn't vitiate the basic point.

Workplace violence and Islamic terrorism aren't necessarily isolated from each other. It isn't exactly like there is a membership card and secret decoder ring you carry if you are part of Isis. They use the internet and social media in particular to spread their message and influence people to their cause. Their websites and magazines are slick propaganda machines. They easily can target those who are disaffected or mentally unstable and provide the nudges and the information they need to act in a way that is conducive to their cause without actually sending them to training camps.

Politicians don't want to address this (but Anonymous is all over it) because it means that anyone can be currently influenced to act in a way that is beneficial to them.

This isn't clear like the guys with the white hats against the guys in the black hats.

I may dig into some Anonymous pages where they are going after their guides and magazines and see what they say about building these things and strategy. I wouldn't be surprised if they encourage fake bombs for diversion and deflection.

So ISIS terrorists are now targeting the Health Department of San Bernardino county?  What sense does that make?  Why not shoot up the entire building if this is ISIS-style terrorism?

soft target of opportunity.

They didn't just "not build them correctly."  They forgot to put explosives in the pipes.

Did those people chasing them have any way of knowing that?
