Michael Savage: GOP not divided, it's compromised
'It's supposed to represent an alternative to socialism'
Published: 5 hours ago

As the 2014 midterm elections approached, Michael Savage boldly charged in his book “Stop the Coming Civil War” that President Obama was deliberately dividing America and would do irreparable damage unless he was curbed by an electoral defeat.

Now, amid a presidential election campaign, his “Government Zero: No Borders, No Language, No Culture,” released Tuesday, warns that progressives and radical Islamists are working together to destroy Western Civilization and remake it in their own respective images.

“Why another book?” the popular talk host asked rhetorically in an interview with WND.

“Most people don’t even know the extent of the systemic damage to all the departments and branches of government,” he said. “I spell out what [Obama] did to the military. How he purged the military … of every combat general who would have blown the whistle on Benghazi or taken ISIS out in a week. They’re all gone.”

Michael Savage’s “Government Zero: No Borders, No Language, No Culture” is available now at the WND Superstore

As WND reported last week, Savage recounted to his listeners his belief that while the war for Western civilization is not over, the first battle has been lost as millions of migrants from the Middle East who largely oppose Judeo-Christian values and have no intention of assimilating flood the United States, Britain, France, Germany and other nations.

How is it, he asked in his interview with WND, that a person like Al Sharpton, who has stoked the flames of the “Black Lives Matter” movement and incited the murder of police officers, “has more authority than the bravest police chief in the country?”

It’s possible, he said, “because Obama is Al Sharpton with a smoother delivery.”

In “Government Zero,” all but the last chapter, “Saving a Nation with Nationalism,” have “Zero” in the title, as Savage tackles problems such as “Zero Leadership,” “Zero Education,” “Zero Religion” and “Zero Science.”

The final chapter features “40 actions to save America” and what it means to be American.

The book he said, is “for your neighbor who has an Obama ’08 sticker on his car, after all of these years, and doesn’t even know the damage this — he paused, quickly searching for a softer word more suitable for print — this creature, has done and is doing.”

“It’s for the wife or husband who is still liberal, who has her head in the sand, or his head in the sand,” he said. “It’s for a family member who is a lifetime Democrat and doesn’t know at all what systemic damage has been and is being done, nor the danger we are in.”

‘A limp stick’

America, Savage writes, is becoming a socialist, Third World dictatorship ruled by “Government Zero,” meaning “absolute government and zero representation.”

He’s often said on his daily syndicated show, “The Savage Nation,” that while Teddy Roosevelt said, ‘Talk softly and carry a big stick,” Obama reversed it to, “Talk loudly and carry a limp stick.”

“The only ones Obama uses his viciousness on are the American people, the Republicans and Israel,” Savage told WND. “But he’s on his hands and knees in front of the real enemies of America.”

Savage believes the long-term solution is a nationalist party, but in the meantime the nation risks being lost unless citizens vote against the Democrats.

In “The Coming Civil War,” he recalled, he said “hold your nose and vote Republican, then we will have to fight with them tooth and nail to get them to do the right thing.”

He acknowledged major battles with the Republican establishment have been lost, “but we’re still fighting, aren’t we?”

“The left says the Republican Party is divided. It’s not divided at all. The party has been compromised,” he said. “There’s no division.”

The GOP, he said, is “supposed to represent an alternative to socialism.”

But the “Democratic socialist machine” has “stolen and compromised” the Republican Party, he said, “either through bribery or blackmail.”

“There’s no other explanation for how they can get away with this,” he said.

Savage explained “bribery” means “giving them all of the things that they want.”

In the case of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, he said, “the minute he got the coal thing removed from some bill, the next day he was already in Obama’s pocket. He owned them.”

“Boehner is just a useless, manipulated, drunken kind of guy,” he said of the House speaker, who after pressure from House conservatives earlier this month announced his resignation. “That’s all he is. Everyone knows that,” he said.

But the point of the book is not to attack Boehner, Savage said, which is “old news.”

He said it’s important to elect conservative Republicans to at least slow down Obama’s destructive agenda.

“Elect Republicans, what will that get us?” he asked. “My answer is quite straight forward: Were it not for the small number of super-conservative candidates who were elected (in 2014) with the help of my book, just imagine where we would be today. Just imagine what Obama would be getting away with.”

Worse than Obama?

Savage believes Hillary Clinton would be a worse president than Obama, because she is more competent and “poses as a centrist.”

At a time earlier this year when many pundits were declaring her presidential ambitions dead or on life support amid an email scandal and other charges of corruption, Savage was insisting she would still be the Democrat nominee.

“I said she’s going to blow it off, and it’s going be seen as nothing, because the FBI works for Obama,” he said. “That’s why they captured all those emails, to make sure that anything compromising was never seen by the public.”

Savage added: “We don’t have an independent FBI. Did we ever have one independent of the executive branch?”

He said Donald Trump, who has been a guest on his show several times recently, is “the closest thing we have to an American nationalist, in terms of borders, language and culture.”

“He’s also a family man. He’s also a devout supporter of religious freedom in America,” Savage said.

“He’s a strong supporter of Israel’s right to exist. He knows that we’re losing in the trade war.

“So, borders? Yes. Language? Undoubtedly. Culture? For sure,” Savage said of Trump, the Republican front-runner in national polls.

“Hey, I’ll take 75 to 80 percent on the dollar. Compared to 10 percent, which is what I’m getting from the Republican Party now. And zero, less than zero, from the Democrats,” he said.

“From them I’m getting anti-borders, anti-language, anti-culture.”
