Austin must be some Toddlin' Town.

I spent a couple nights at The Driskill once.  A wild place then.

My room was next to the LBJ suite.  Nice place, for a old hotel.  I had some friends who stayed in the newer section.  Sixth Street was loaded with good bars.  I was there back in the 80's, and there were hookers aplenty.

You confused me there for a minute until I realized there are Driskills in both San Antonio and Austin.

OK, @Cyber Liberty which one are you talking about?  And, I don't remember any hookers.

Austin on 6th St.  The hookers were obvious once it was past Midnight.

It's hard to tell.  The only functional difference is you had to pay one kind.  And they were mostly trannies, even back then.

6th street in Austin is very much like Bourbon Street in New Orleans.  (If you happen to drop your wallet on 6th street kick it for about 10 blocks before you pick it up.)

Surprised they used the term 'drunk driver'.
You can get anything you want in Austin.
I doubt these guys were 'drunk' on alcohol in Austin.
Drinking...is kind of a low priority item.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

I was too embarrassed to post this in @Sanguines Texas Thread.

'She's trying to swipe that mother****** to get some merchandise': Hilarious video shows the moment a slurring woman tries to pay for goods with toy bank cards at a Texas store before 'making a call' on her fake phone

•Woman tried to use a toy credit and debit card to pay for goods in online video
•Store manager explained to the slurring lady that her cards aren't real
•A fellow shopper attempted to help only to find it was a fake card too
•After the first failed, she drew out second plastic toy labelled 'debit card'
•In disbelief, she tried to call someone on her phone that is also clearly a kids' toy
•The 1 min 40 clip from a 7-Eleven, in San Antonio, Texas has over 109,000 views

BRIDGEWATER, S.D. —

A South Dakota woman is lucky to be alive after a freak lawn mower accident.

Kendra Jensen told KSFY that her husband was mowing their lawn when the mower kicked up a piece of debris.

"I thought that I got hit by a rock. It felt like something hit me, and then fell off me," Kendra Jensen said. "I didn't know that my neck had been sliced open."  ...

Good case to be made for keeping people and pets far away from the mower.

A Virginia man whose two dreadlocks containing body tissue were found at a 2015 murder scene in Pittsburgh was arrested this week after DNA tests matched him with the hair samples, Pittsburgh police said.

Police departments ask would-be criminals to hold off on committing crimes until after heat wave

Saturday, July 20, 2019 5:17PM

BRAINTREE, Mass. -- It's so hot in some parts of the country that police departments are asking would-be criminals to hold off on committing crimes until the heat wave passes.

"It is straight-up hot as soccer balls out there," police in Braintree, Massachusetts, wrote Friday in a light-hearted Facebook post. "Conducting criminal activity in this extreme heat is next-level henchmen status and also very dangerous."

Braintree is a community of more than 35,000 people situated approximately 20 minutes south of Boston. The National Weather Service placed the city under an excessive heat warning Saturday, with high temperatures in the 90s expected throughout the weekend...

Grocery worker found in shop where he worked after 10-year search

Police say the body of a man who went missing in 2009 has been discovered behind a freezer in the now-closed supermarket where he worked.

Investigators in Council Bluffs, Iowa, say Larry Ely Murillo-Moncada, 25, had apparently fallen into an 18-inch (45cm) gap at No Frills supermarket.

Noise from the coolers probably muffled his cries for help, according to investigator Sgt Brandon Danielson.

No foul play was detected and his death was ruled to be accidental.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

Ex-Israeli military soldier tells flasher 'I’m going to get you darling', condemns passersby for not helping
By Paulina Dedaj | Fox News

A Massachusetts woman, once a member of the Israeli military, has told the man that flashed her last week “I’m going to get you, darling”, as she hit out at the several witnesses who refused to help her accost him.

Aia Polansky, a 33-year-old mother of two, was jogging down Memorial Drive near Vassar Street in Cambridge on July 18 at around 7:30 a.m. when a man jogging past her exposed himself twice.

“He pulled his pants once and I didn’t react too much I thought it’s awkward,” she told Boston’s WBZ-TV Wednesday. “As he came closer he pulled them again then I understood maybe it’s not what I think it is and then he reached his hand out.”

https://www.foxnews.com/us/israeli-military-soldier-mother-flasher-darling-condemns-passersby

Aia Polansky, the victim here is 6'1", she was able to pin this guy down but nobody came to her help to call the police, so he was able to get away per the story.

Unfortunately, I think women, some women,  must have to run into things like this from time to time.
