The best way to deal with the problem is to annex both Canada and Mexico.

It's been too long since the last bit of territorial acquisition by America.  And I still believe in Manifest Destiny.  Someday we will have the world.

Since this thread has descended into silliness, here's my contribution.

Mending Wall

Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it,
And spills the upper boulders in the sun,
And makes gaps even two can pass abreast.
The work of hunters is another thing:
I have come after them and made repair
Where they have left not one stone on a stone,
But they would have the rabbit out of hiding,
To please the yelping dogs. The gaps I mean,
No one has seen them made or heard them made,
But at spring mending-time we find them there.
I let my neighbor know beyond the hill;
And on a day we meet to walk the line
And set the wall between us once again.
We keep the wall between us as we go.
To each the boulders that have fallen to each.
And some are loaves and some so nearly balls
We have to use a spell to make them balance:
'Stay where you are until our backs are turned!'
We wear our fingers rough with handling them.
Oh, just another kind of out-door game,
One on a side. It comes to little more:
There where it is we do not need the wall:
He is all pine and I am apple orchard.
My apple trees will never get across
And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him.
He only says, 'Good fences make good neighbors'.
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
'Why do they make good neighbors? Isn't it
Where there are cows?
But here there are no cows.
Before I built a wall I'd ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out,
And to whom I was like to give offence.

Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
That wants it down.' I could say 'Elves' to him,
But it's not elves exactly, and I'd rather
He said it for himself. I see him there
Bringing a stone grasped firmly by the top
In each hand, like an old-stone savage armed.
He moves in darkness as it seems to me~
Not of woods only and the shade of trees.
He will not go behind his father's saying,
And he likes having thought of it so well
He says again, "Good fences make good neighbors."

And here are pictures of all the tunnels that go under walls like that:  Google images search

There are way too many for me to spend putting them up one by one here.

Walls don't work.  They are a white elephant.

You can put detectors under the walls down deep enough that a tunnel can be detected above very easily. Not that hi Teck????? kind like the FAX machine in technology????

Pointing out the obvious to some people is a waste of time!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Well said Bernie.

On this single issue, Sanders cares more about America and the middle class than many of the GOP candidates.  Pathetic, but true.  That is likely large part of his current popularity.

The college-aged crowd also love him because he's 'wondered' out loud why all student loans aren't forgiven.

Robert Frost's old farm lies about 5 miles to the southeast of where I type these words. Behind it, in the woods about which he also once waxed poetic, there rests the weathered and lichen-encrusted remains of a classic New England stone wall. I always wondered whether it was the one he was writing about in this poem. I have a similar wall behind my own home, clearly of antique provenance, which requires occasional repair as well. Walls are useful things.

I would love seeing that.

One of my treasured books is a compilation of Robert Frost poems. Began reading him in my early 20s.

He wrote so many touching poems during the time of a simpler America.

It looks something like this:

Come on up here some time, and I'll show you around. ;-)
