 Clinton agrees to testify on Benghazi, emails this month

WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton has agreed to testify on Capitol Hill later this month about the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, and about her email practices.

Her lawyer David Kendall wrote to lawmakers Monday telling them she would agree to the request from a special panel investigating the September 2012 attacks that killed four Americans.

But Kendall said Clinton would testify only for one session. The committee chairman, GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, had requested that she appear twice, for a hearing on Clinton's use of private emails and for a separate session on Benghazi.

Kendall said Clinton would answer all lawmakers' questions during one session and it would not be necessary for her to appear twice.

Since when does he get to decide? Not that it matters much in any case. To every question, including her name, she will probably reply, "I don't remember".

Who's on the committee who is going to run his mouth for her to wait out the clock? All questions in one session - it's an easy fiddle if she owns even one member.

She shouldn't get to be the decider.  She should be required to come back for as many sessions as it takes and she should be thoroughly deposed by committee staff before any actual appearance before the committee.

None of that will happen however.

I heard today they have already sent her the questions..so much for a good cross examination and catching her in lies.. :shrug:

The sad truth is that no one in Washington really wants to get to the bottom of Benghazi because the complicity crosses party lines big time.
