In Case You Missed It Dept.:

President Obama met with GOP and Democratic governors at the White House Tuesday. It is a new day now. President Obama has just returned from his seventeen-day vacation in Hawaii and he appears fresh and focused on the administration's top priority for the coming year, his next vacation.

Cuba's president Raul Castro reminded Cubans Friday Cuba will remain a communist country despite closer U.S. relations. They are sporting in their own way. If you speak out against Cuba's government, they only jail you, they don't label you a racist and drop you from Academy consideration.

A Paris satirical newspaper was attacked by al-Qaeda terrorists Tuesday for depicting Mohammed in cartoons that satirized the terrorists. They killed twelve of the satirists and escaped in their car. However French authorities were later able to track down some of the attackers and surrender to them.

The White House refused to describe Thursday's attack on a Paris satire newspaper as terrorism until a media outcry demanded it. They still refuse to call it radical Islamic terrorism. Nobody bought the Obama administration's original story that it was just another example of violence in the jokeplace.

President Obama vowed to veto the GOP Senate and GOP House's bill authorizing construction of the Keystone oil pipeline Wednesday, saying it only helps Canada. We certainly don't want to help Canada gets its oil to world markets. It could seriously hinder our new special relationship with Iran.

Speaker John Boehner said Tuesday it is the Congress's job to write the laws and the president's job to decide whether to sign them. Who knew it's that simple. Ever since the Tea Party gave everyone in Congress a copy of the U.S. Constitution, we don't have to call tech support in India to fix every problem.

Joe Biden went to Brazil in an effort to try and repair America's relationship with their government. Biden said, “It's great to be here in the Amazon. I've always wanted to see where all the books come from.”

Democratic Senator Harry Reid is expected to make a full recovery after he was exercising with a resistance band that snapped, causing him to fall. The good news is he's fine. The bad news is there's no video of it.

President Obama met with the president of Mexico. When asked what it's like to govern 100 million Mexican people, Obama said, "It can be challenging."

Hillary Clinton is the leading presidential contender for the Democrats. Former Clinton aide John Podesta said Hillary will highlight her differences with President Obama if she runs. The biggest difference: Hillary is still interested in being president.

-- Jimmy Fallon

President Obama has issued three veto threats in just two days. Meanwhile, Chris Christie has threatened four Vitos, two Charlies, and a Doug.

-- Seth Meyers

A new study has found that watching Fox News can make you more conservative and watching MSNBC can make you more liberal. And watching CNN can make you think that no plane has ever safely reached its destination.
