Obama’s “Non-Combat Military Advisers” In Iraq Have First Direct Combat With ISIS

By Robert Gehl, December 18, 2014.

American “military advisers” – those people President Obama insisted were definitely not combat troops – had their first battle with ISIS and beat the pants off of them.

And unless the President is lying to us – a shocker, I know – it looks like a bunch of “advisers” beat back the world’s most dangerous terrorist group.

The website Shafaq News, is reporting U.S. troops easily pushed back a drive by ISIS toward the Ein al-Asad Iraqi army base.

An Iraqi army official told the website the troops used “light to medium weapons” to inflict casualties on the ISIS invaders, forcing them to retreat.

Sheikh Mahmud Nimrawi, a prominent tribal leader in the region, said that “US forces intervened because of ISIS started to come near the base , which they are stationed in so out of self-defense , they responded , welcoming the US intervention, which I hope will “not be the last.”

By last count, there were more than 3,100 U.S. troops – er, “military advisers” in Iraq in “non-combat roles.”

And as recently as last month, the Pentagon promised these “advisers” are “there to assist and advise the country’s army and are not involved in combat operations.”

So either our “advisers” are pretty badass or the U.S. military is in there, fully armed and kicking the snot out of ISIS where they need to.

But again, that would mean the President was lying to us and we all know that’s simply impossible.
