If you would indulge me, I'd like to experiment with this...  Posting notes of interest, articles, clips, etc.  I invite contributions since this is not about me.  I want to keep it interesting and pertinent.  If I fail... well, it will drift out into the ether.  What do you think?  Will you help me?

Here is the first installment from one of my all time favorites, Bill Whittle:

For the progressive, there is very little to love about the United States. Washington, Jefferson, Madison? A bunch of rotten slaveholders, hypocrites, and cowards even when their hearts were in the right places. The Declaration of Independence? A manifesto for the propertied classes. The Constitution? An artifact of sexism and white supremacy. The sacrifices in the great wars of the 20th century? Feeding the poor and the disenfranchised into the meat-grinder of imperialism. The gifts of Carnegie, Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, Morgan, Astor? Blood money from self-aggrandizing robber barons. Nat Rev

Lando!   Thank you very much for turning me/us onto Bill Whittle.  Excellently produced and written.   :patriot:

Of course my first thought after seeing this was of concern for Mr. Whittle's health and safety.

I have been a fan of Bill Whittle since back in the TOS days.  I was keeper of his so-called ping list and I corresponded with Bill regularly at his site Eject! Eject! Eject!.  Here is the link to some of the best essays you will read anywhere: http://ejectejecteject.com .  He has since moved on to bigger things but what a mind.

It is hard to explain but I was wired on anxiety when I started this thread.  It is sometimes difficult for me to participate in the depressing threads of the day so I started this one.  I hope it is not pretentious or that it detracts from others.  I welcome input from anyone and I will not be defensive or offended.  I thought a repository of the "various and sundry" could be useful.  The name might be viewed as pretentious - I don't mind changing it.  Let me know.

Wow....seems so simple and logical.

Just imagine if every child...from kindergarten thru college were shown this each day in their classrooms.

....just after the Pledge of Allegiance.  (which btw...I am not crazy about either)
