NY PostGuest at two Labor Day weekend weddings in Tarrytown are being vetted by the Secret Service because President Obama will be staying overnight in the area with Michelle.
Sources tell Page Six the White House has blocked off
50 rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton for the president’s entourage.
The Secret Service will have plenty on its hands — there are two weddings at the DoubleTree Friday, sources say, and they are busy vetting the guest lists.
The Obamas will be in town to attend a wedding on Saturday night, but not at the DoubleTree. They will instead be at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills for the wedding of White House chef Sam Kass, who will tie the knot with MSNBC host Alex Wagner Saturday.
The first lady visited the Rockefeller-owned Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture for a fund-raiser in 2012. Overseen by Dan Barber, its food is all grown and raised on-site including pigs, sheep, cows and chickens, which range freely in large pens.
Local Brian Doyle, who, with chef Nick Bell, co-owns J.P. Doyle’s Restaurant in Sleepy Hollow, told The Post’s Lois Weiss the Obamas were welcome to stop by the pub for dinner or a nightcap.
“It would be right up there with us having the Vince Lombardi trophy after the Giants won,” Doyle added.
