The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama's job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove (see trends).

The latest figures include 25% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 38% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13.

Results are updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update).

Republicans are hoping to pick up retiring Democrat Tim Johnson’s Senate seat in South Dakota, but former GOP Senator Larry Pressler, who Johnson defeated in 1996, has jumped into the race as an independent. Look for our latest numbers from the South Dakota Senate race at 10:30 a.m. Eastern today.

Republican incumbent Dennis Daugaard posts a 20-point lead over Democratic challenger Susan Wismer, the winner of her party's primary last Tuesday, in South Dakota's race for governor.

Fifty percent (50%) of voters nationwide say the new national health care law has had no impact on them. Sixteen percent (16%) say they have been helped by Obamacare, while 31% say they have been hurt by it instead.

Sixty-two percent (62%) of Republicans and half (49%) of voters not affiliated with either major party believe the actions of the Environmental Protection Agency hurt the economy, but only 19% of Democrats agree.

Ras, ever since Ras left the company, has moved hard left, adding 10% to 15% more Democrats to their survey.

Assuming arguendo this to be true, what matters is whether this translates to the other democrat worms; Obama's personal popularity is irrelevant until/unless it helps one or more democrat worms win an election.

Virtually no undecideds. 50-49. Yet strong for-against, he's 25-38.

So, that means that Rasmussen is breaking what would otherwise be the undecideds/LIV's for Obama 25-11.

Although I think such a scenario is highly doubtful, given that the man got re-elected, I will never again trust the judgment of the American people.
