Noam Chomsky: Obama A Threat To Freedom

by Whoopie • 6 June, 2014 • Communism, Politics • 2 Comments

Progressive hero Noam Chomsky is terrified of the surveillance state that has developed during the tenure of President Barack Obama, calling it a grave threat to our fundamental civil liberties.

In a column published Monday, Chomsky writes that the documents revealed to the public by Edward Snowden show a system that is flagrantly violating the principles of the Constitution.

The scope and depth of the National Security Agency’s surveillance program is what particularly troubles the retired MIT professor and leads him to conclude that our current president is set on undermining the foundations of our society.

“In other ways too, the constitutional lawyer in the White House seems determined to demolish the foundations of our civil liberties.”

Read it in it’s entirety:

Jimmy Carter, Ralph Nader, now Noam Chomsky all seem surprised at the direction their beloved ideology has taken. Not unlike the way Trotsky realized too late that Stalin was no friend of democracy. Democratic Socialism is an oxymoron.

But rest assured, come 2016 every one of these tools will vote the Party line.

Because the one thing these and other Commie dupes like them steadfastly believe it’s that somewhere in the universe there’s a free lunch along with “the right leader” who will honestly see to it that everyone get’s their fair share.

Yes, but ... George W. Bush and a Republican Congress was in charge when all this began. Hmm ... :pondering:
