Trey Gowdy III has served as the U.S. Representative for South Carolina's 4th congressional district since 2011. If the Republicans had more people like this guy who would stand in the gap and take on the press, our nation would be in much better shape.
Rep. Trey Gowdy used President Obama’s own words against him and the media in his statement on why it’s imperative to investigate what happened in Benghazi. He took the media to the proverbial woodshed for not doing their job.
Rep. Gowdy asked a series of questions that left the media silent. Of course, they won’t be silent for long. They will drum up numerous reasons why Benghazi is a non-story. Some liberals are complaining that “millions of tax dollars will be wasted on this investigation.” Like liberals care about wasting tax dollars. To be a liberal is to waste tax dollars.
It’s obvious that the media are covering for the president. President Obama made some forcefully delivered statements a year ago, and the media sat back and said to themselves, “What a brilliant, compassionate, and decisive leader he is.” Then they walked away from the story because the President had spoken.
Who said the following?
◾“We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.” (Source)
◾“[M]y biggest priority now is bringing those folks to justice and I think the American people have seen that’s a commitment I'll always keep.” (Source)
These are statements made by President Obama. Why hasn’t there been any action?
Why all the whining by the Democrats and their media sycophants that investigating Benghazi is just a “political stunt” is a rewriting of Obama history? The Republicans are only doing what President Obama promised would be done.
