Last week was the most successful week of Barack Obama’s presidency.
Of course, President Obama’s definition of success is not what most Americans define as success. His goals are very different from anyone looking to help America, or the U.S. economy.
Obama’s goal is to “fundamentally change America,” as he stated just five days before the 2008 election.
One of those “changes” comes in the form of ObamaCare, which was never meant to heal the sick, lower health care costs, lower the debt or expand the economy.
And, based on the president’s goals, ObamaCare is not a failure. Rather, it’s a fantastic success. It’s doing exactly what it was intended to do -- collapse the system and addict millions of Americans to government dependency.
I attended Columbia University with Obama, and it was there where my classmates and I learned a plan to overwhelm the American economic system: Collapse capitalism with spending, entitlements and debt.
It now seems more than a coincidence that the plan we learned at Columbia looks exactly like what’s happening to the U.S. economy under my former classmate.
Last week, the non-partisan CBO finally reported the truth: ObamaCare is the perfect job-killing machine. Millions have already been downsized from full-time to part-time work, and now we know from the CBO that an additional 2.3 million jobs will be eliminated.
As I predicted from Day One, this is exactly what ObamaCare was intended to do -- destroy the middle class and make us dependent on government checks to survive.
But it is the reaction of Obama’s defenders to the CBO report that tells us all we need to know about Obama’s goals. The CBO courageously pointed out that ObamaCare makes it less likely that millions of Americans will want to work. Obama defenders called that “choice.” They painted it a wonderful development.
But letting middle-class wage earners and small businesses pay for all those who want to be freed from the need to work -- so they can enjoy their free time and pursue their hobbies -- isn’t “choice.” It’s theft.
The cat is out of the bag. Anyone who thinks “the American Dream” is to choose to stay home, not work, and collect a government check is reading directly from Karl Marx. Anyone who thinks some people (who vote 100 percent Democrat) should have a “choice” not to work, by stealing the money of others, is reading directly from “the Communist Manifesto.”
To boil the CBO report down to simple language: Middle-class wage earners are being ripped off to pay for freeloaders. That means middle-class people are having their “choices” taken away from them. I guess in Obama’s playbook, one man’s choice is another man’s slavery.
But the week from hell was only getting started. Next, Obama illegally re-wrote his own ObamaCare law -- again.
Mimicking the traits of communist dictators, Obama obviously believes he can change any law he wants, at any given hour, of any given day.
Obama has chosen to rule his second term by constantly violating the Constitution and bypassing Congress. This is the behavior of Fidel Castro, or the late tyrant Hugo Chavez.
More and more respected media commentators are coming to the same conclusion. Last week, Charles Krauthammer said what’s happening under Obama “is the stuff you do in a banana republic.”
But wait, it gets far worse. As part of the new illegal ObamaCare directive to postpone the law for businesses with 50 to 99 employees, Obama put the IRS in direct control of critical U.S. business decisions. He demanded that businesses must “justify” hiring and firing decisions to the IRS to qualify for the exemption.
Plain and simple, putting government in charge of the decisions of a private business is the very foundation of socialism. It is how economies like North Korea, Cuba, the old Soviet Union and East Germany have always been run.
Still, Obama wasn’t done. He unilaterally loosened the rules for citizenship to allow foreigners with only a “minor” connection to terrorism to become citizens.
Dennis Miller once said on “Monday Night Football”: “There is no such thing as a minor groin injury.” Well, there is no such thing as a “minor” terrorist either.
Why is there a pressing need to allow foreigners with “minor” connections to terrorism into the country? Are we short on immigrants? Are we short on job applicants? Has corporate America put out an emergency request for “minor” terrorist employees?
Then Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder announced how "unjust" it is to not allow felons to vote.
What’s the emergency here? Is there a desperate shortage of Democratic voters? Or is this Obama’s cynical game plan to guarantee Democrat election dominance for years to come.
Based on the plan we learned as classmates at Columbia University, last week was the most successful week of Obama's presidency. If your goal was to fundamentally change America, you couldn't have a more satisfying week.
Obama never has to face voters again. He obviously no longer cares to hide his radical Marxist ideology.
It’s now clear it’s “pedal to the metal” toward the destruction of capitalism.
Who will stop him?
