Wasserman Schultz Battles CNN’s Crowley: Obamacare Will Be Advantage to Dems in 2014
by Evan McMurry | 10:54 am, November 10th, 2013

On CNN’s State of the Union Sunday morning, host Candy Crowley pressed Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) on whether the Affordable Care Act’s troubled rollout would negatively effect Democratic candidates in the 2014 midterms.

“Americans have been feeling the benefits since 2010,” Wasserman Schultz said. “Democratic candidates will be able to run on Obamacare as an advantage in 2014.”‘

Crowley asked if the tightening of the Virginia gubernatorial race in the final weeks reflected any sort of referendum on Obamacare, which Wasserman Schultz denied. “[Terry McAuliffe] won it with the same percentage, just about, that President Obama won Virginia just a year ago,” she said. “Obamacare did not have anything to do with Tuesday’s outcome.”

Crowley also pressed Wasserman Schultz on reports that hundreds of thousands of Floridians have had their insurance policies cancelled due to the ACA. Schultz again refuted this, arguing that Florida Blue, the insurance company in question, was presenting alternative plans that offered more comprehensive coverage for lower rates.

“It is a real significant distortion to say that hundreds of thousands of people are getting cancelled,” Wasserman Schultz said. “What’s actually happening is that they are very likely to get a better plan for less money.”

What a dingbat! Once she is voted out, I doubt we will hear from her again. I have a strong suspicion the dems laugh at her behind her back. She's too stupid to know she is being used.  :silly:
