Dead candidates winning elections in Washington state

Washington: America's Proudly Blue State.

Two candidates in Washington state will have a difficult time serving if they win their elections. The reason is that both candidates -- who are ahead in their races -- are dead, Breitbart.com reported Thursday.

John Rosentangle, who ran unopposed, has so far received 71 percent of the vote over write-in candidates in the King County Water District 54 commissioner race.

John Erak ran for city council in Aberdeen, Wash., and was ahead in his race against Alan Richrod with a 12-vote margin.

The 63-year-old Rosentangle died of an illness in August and the 81-year-old Erak, a former state representative, died in June shortly after announcing he was running for re-election, KXLY said.

The Associated Press said both men died after the filing period closed and their names could not be removed from the ballots.

KXLY said the results in Aberdeen are not final.

"If Rosentangle wins, the other King County Water District members will appoint a successor, and if Erak is declared the winner in his race, the city council will vote on another candidate to take the seat," the AP added.

A reader at KXLY said those who voted for the dead candidates should not have voted at all, since they "evidently know nothing about who or what they are voting for."

A reader at Time said the dead candidates were probably the most qualified for the positions.

According to a post at Newstalk AM 870, officials said these cases illustrate the lack of voter participation and investigation.

"Critics say however, the two municipalities didn’t do enough to inform voters these candidates had died," John McKay added.

The untold and saddest part of this story is that both candidates died because Tea Partiers (you know who you are) delayed implementation of ObamaCare. You should be ashamed.

Or maybe CNN is correct and the fault lies with you Christians (and your Bibles). If you are a Tea Partier AND a Christian (with your Bible) it's possible you could be indicted for homicide.
