Really meant to go...but over 6 inches of rain in the last 96 hours has beat me up.  My Gortex boots are leaking.

Wow, terrific!   I thought the Veterans' march was scheduled for NEXT weekend??  Maybe there will be additional demonstrations next weekend.  DC is right--the weather here for seemingly forever (in reality since Wed) has been dreadful.  God bless these people for going out anyway!!!   :patriot:

Oh, and good to see that Ted Cruz came out of hiding to greet the veterans!!   :nometalk:

Hey Sinky--I don't see John Cornyn anywhere in these pics.  Does Mr. Cornyn not support our veterans??   :shrug:

Yes.  He quietly greeted a plane load of Texas Veterans yesterday morning when they arrived in Washington.

Cornyn's not a showboater.

Showboater?  So showing appreciation and support for our Veterans in front of the eyes of the nation is now considered "showboating" by the GOPe?

Where was Ted Cruz yesterday when the Vets were trying to get into the Iwo Jima memorial?  Cornyn was calling to intervene.  And where was Ted yesterday when there was no major press around when these Texas Vets arrived?
