These are the Republican senators that either go against the GOP on a number of major issues, or they vote liberal on so many issues, that they are called Republicans In Name Only (RINO). These RINO senators take the liberal view so often that many conservatives believe they should just leave the GOP and admit they are Democrats in reality. Democrats love RINOs because they cause division with in the GOP, and a party divided is more easily defeated than one united, and because they can often count on RINOs to vote with them on major issues.

Most would recognize the two most well-known RINOs on this list, John McCain and Lindsey Graham. Ironically, these two somehow got a 92 percent rating from the ACU for 2012 while they both have opposed the conservative position on enough issues to be popularly known among conservatives as RINOs. A few of the other RINOs on this list vote with the liberal side so often, they actually got lower ACU scores than some Democrats. If you vote conservative less often than a Democrat, you are no doubt a RINO!

The ACU cannot be trusted as a true Conservative organization as they enthusiastically support amnesty for illegal aliens.  That is why many RINOS have "high" voting ratings.  Every true Conservative should disregard any ranking from ACU and consider it a fraud.

Post a link to your contention that the ACU supports amnesty.  The ACU is recognized as the gold standard for conservative rankings and has been for years.

But we have been assured the ACU is the gold standard of Congressional ratings, though I guess the relevant phrase is "Every true Conservative".

OTOH, this same poster assured us Tom Coburn has the highest conservative rating in the entire Congress, yet if you look at the ACU ratings there are 7 senators who rate 100% and Coburn is not among them. (In addition there are over 30 representatives who also rate 100%).

So maybe Coburn doesn't have the "highest Conservative rating" after all and maybe the fact he does not explains why I never got a response to my request: So how about you document this statement: All I do know is that he [Coburn] has the highest conservative rating in the entire Congress....
