Carney Compares Scandal Questions to Birth Certificate Requests
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said during today's daily press briefing that there have been repeated instances where Republicans have taken an issue and tried to turn it into a “partisan or political football.”
At that point, CBS News Chief White House correspondent Major Garrett asked, “Do questions about HHS secretary Sebelius and her efforts to raise funds in the private sector for ObamaCare fall into that category?”
This is Carney’s answer, ““You know, we could go down the list of questions — we could say, what about the president’s birth certificate? Were that — was that legitimate?”
